Personal Information

 1. Hello gamedev community! I've lurked forever, posted a job post 6+ months ago, and after filling that position figured I should see if anyone's interested in how our non-bullethell horizontally sidescrolling shoot 'em up is turning out. We still are hard at work but our team wanted to share what we've been up to with you guys. Featured Preview Video (February 2012) : HD is available (and preferred) Our game is called "Heaven Variant" it's a side-scrolling shooter, aiming to embrace the visual and audio aesthetics from the late 1980s and early 90s hopefully while offering a modern take on the whole shebang. Instead of talking a lot, here's some of our latest media. I hope you'll let us know what you think. Our team is made up of 3 people and we're developing it with the Unreal Development Kit. In-game screens of a brief level intro; Atmospheric Entry Time-Lapse Image Links to Music (Youtube): http://www.youtube_s....be/-4S5EaFkulA http://www.youtube;6...player_embedded http://www.youtube;6...d&v=687rFAZnJlQ http://www.youtube;t...h?v=tcNSW6eFMRA There's a lot more stuff at our dev blog, but this post more or less highlights the bulk of it: http://www.heavenvariant.com Heaven Variant is fashioned after old school shmups, and we really want to have a nostalgic aesthetic that pushes our style. We hope you'll let us know your thoughts, and if you feel like it you can follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and our dev blog where we regularly talk about development and show off assets in individual pieces! We'd love to hear what you have to say. Cheers!
