  2. @ kuramayoko10: Ah I've overlooked Nextstep which is derived from BSD 4.3. Hence Jobs had Nextstep for around 20 years before going back to Apple? I've never heard of that OS prior to a Film about Steve Jobs in TV. Must not have been very successful? Did it already use the Bash or other common Linux stuff? @ sik: ok but I run Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, Rage etc. wihout remarking any differences. Probably you need to update?
  3. In my other topic I was talking about iPhone and it was locked. So to clarify this: In german N-TV they were clearly talking about Apple, but I cannot refind it online. It was you that said Wine to be slow...which is a false statement at least with Nvidia.
  6. It's wrong to say that Wine is generally slow.   7. So you must be doing something wrong. False drivers etc. Wine is definitely NOT slow at all!

  9. Yes, played Serious Sam3 yesterday on Ubuntu, as I'm a beta tester. I also have fortress to test later. Many years ago, I had to follow a M$ Office course and since I'm saturated for life with proprietary OS.- I've only installed osx86 from the other patent troll but it's much less fun than Linux. TheCubu, you can run almost anything with Wine. Currently I run perfectly Rage with Wine 1.4 on Ubuntu 12.10.

This is especially nice for WINE games, so they should catch up with Windows. I'll try soon FSX after updating the driver.
  12. I get the feeling some admin needs a psychiatrist. I got downrated for a very old posting around 6 x 3 within the hour. x3 and also multiple within a short time can only be done by an admin?   14. Ogre might interesting for you, Torque3D might only get cross platform in a while hopefully. There's also gamekit, well most can import from Blender it depends on the language you want to program.   15. If Linux would disappear as Server not much would change as most servers are AIX, HP-UX, Sun etc. anyway. Linux is small but more widely used than Windows for servers. In typical server rooms you might have one Windows frontend, Linux for web, email etc. And most high performance on expensive Unix machines.
