  1. Looking for programmer/producer who likes this idea. Creatures go down a field of letters to attack your village at bottom. If all villagers die, game over. You, the word wizard, make real words out of the letters on the field to attack the creatures before they reach the bottom. Power up your wand with each word to use spells to push back or attack enemies. Small letter at bottom right corner of letter box to know what the next letter will be after current one is used. Field is seeded with some real words before the level begins to make sure level is playable. Maybe two modes, regular is turn based strategy and extreme is real time. Lots of creatures to learn how to defeat. They can be slow, fast, high hp, only weak to words with letters F, I, R, E in them, boss can take up more spots, can fly to avoid attacks for a bit, can only be killed by 5 letter words, etc.. Can be rocks or trees on field for them to hide behind. Maybe can capture weakened creatures for future pvp mode. ;)

    Your mmo ideas

    A great looking 2d mmorpg where u can even upload your own char (which will be filtered by someone). Story: Distant planet with two races of people at war. Evadas are blue humanoids that learn magic and cast spells with their hands. Baranos are lizard humanoids who collect and tame beasts to attack. Eventually humans crash land and they are in limited amounts (but you can breed and eventually mix with the other races once you learn their language). 7 roles. Each account is eventually bound to one role. Only king role can own land and declare war on property. Can enter battle mode by getting close to enemy or player. Battle mode is like Pong but instead of bouncing the ball back and forth, you kinda play dodge ball against the other person's spells and weapon attack (avoid freeze attacks at all cost!). Spells can be upgraded to be faster or bigger or whatever (just imagine any kind of spell cuz I have too many to list). There would be breakable trees or rocks in the middle too so you can hide for a little while. Death is permanent. You can loose a battle and it will take away a heart. Have 3 hearts that refill over time and can make purchase to increase max hearts. Reincarnate and all skills and exp achieved in previous life will be learned faster. Big 2d sandbox world where you can build your own house/village/empire. Anyone wanna produce this game? I got tons of story to go with it. :P
  3. i was thinking of building a board game myself the other day.. anywho, i can share with ya all the ideas i had and you can take whichever idea you like :P first off, are you sure it's fun for people to fight each other? or would it be funner to fight as one against a common enemy? example board games i've read about: zombicide and pandemic. i like the random board idea. i like the heroes idea. i was gonna aim for 7 hero types in my game: someone with more stamina, a crafter type hero, warrior, smart hero, healer, stat buffer, someone with first move advantage. definitely need event cards because "life happens". example: earthquake. randomly change all tiles in a line across the board. i like navezof's destiny missions. in my game, i was going to try to model them after 27 life lessons. like maybe one mission would be to try to comeplete the game without killing anything or another would be skip every 3rd turn to learn the lesson of patience. each player could have a max of 3 destiny cards. when a player levels up in my game, i somehow want to deal them 2 or 3 cards and they could only select 1 like in hearthstone arena. good luck with the game ;)

    anyone wanna make a match-3 game?

    hiya. nice job on that lil web game! i wouldn't be able to tell ya which language is better :P as a personal pref, if a match-3 game is timed, the gems better move fast, matches made should disappear very quickly and the gems should quickly fall into place. i was playing you game on an android tablet with chrome browser and it felt slow. i would definitely be willing to play match-3 untimed via web browser if high scores were saved and if there was a collect/level up element to it kinda like in disney emoji blitz and puzzle x heroes. ;)
  5. just curious, what is "fun" to a programmer like yourself? is it the challenge of doing something new and it keeps you up all night trying to figure out how to code it better? or is there a game category that you like to program? and what do you want to avoid as a programmer? i want to know what makes a programmer tick :P
  6. just curious if any programmer is interested in making a match-3 game. i'm just a match-3 addict who has tons of ideas for games. no money now. programmer must really like match-3 also. check out "puzzle x heroes: the dark shadow" for an idea of what kinda game i have in mind. :P

    How to Allow Power Gaming

    I've never played a larp game so my idea will prolly sound stupid.. Once every 2-4 months, allow a chosen one to be God-like for a short amount of time. The One will not know he/she is the One at the time of creation. Using the powers of God will shorten his/her life. And you might as well have someone be a prophet named Morpheus to find and guide him/her. So sorry if I wasted your time

  10. Thanks for the feedback guys! So 10 bucks is probably way too much to ask for because of the simplicity of gameplay. And the game is mislabeled as an RPG when it's more of an action game. :D

Title: Legend of the Golden Hammer ~ A Whack-A-Mole RPG Goal: Level up, spend skill points on stats (hp, hp regen, stamina, stam regen, str), buy stronger hammers (plush, plastic toy, wood, cement block, etc.) with the tickets you earn (like Chuck E. Cheese's), unlock more themed whack-a-mole arcade game (sports, anime, super hero, water, greek gods, etc.), reach max level 72 and fufill the prophecy. Story intro: You're a new kid walking home from school and you notice the overweight owner of the old arcade shop giving you the most peculiar look. He motions you to come in so he can have a closer look at you. He apologizes for acting so weird and says you have some of the features of the person in the prophecy. He claims that this is the year a young lad with incredible strength will come forth to weild the legendary golden hammer. Just to make sure you aren't what he was looking for, he gives you a free game on the beginners whack-a-mole arcade and hands you the beginners plushie hammer. Game play (for tablets): Games are only one minute long. Reaction time of swing depends on your STR. Each swing takes from your STAmina. Some of the holes move around. There are different types of plastic moles so you have to pay attention to what you hit. Let's use the sports themed arcade for example. Imagine a small baseball diamond on part of the arcade surface. Put a mole hole on each base, one in center for pitcher and a hole that goes back and forth from home to first. Types of moles that will randomly pop up: 1. Regular, just takes 1 hit to knock down, fan mole with flag in right hand 2. Medium regular, 3 hits, ? 3. Hard regular, 5 hits, football uniform dressed mole with helmet 4. Regular damage, 1 hit, basket ball mole pops up and starts to throw mini basketball at you. whack him fast to avoid taking damage. 5. Med damage, 3 hits, baseball mole pops up and throws mini ball in air and starts to swing bat 6. High damage, 5 hits, hockey mole 7. Block view, 1 hit, kinda like a mole that will throw a pie at the screen or set off a smoke bomb to block your view, swipe back and forth on the entire screen a few times to clear the screen 8. Sticky, DON'T HIT, like a mole that's blowing a bubble gum bubble, if you hit it, your hammer gets stuck and you swipe back and forth on the hammer area to get it lose again 9. Instant high damage, DON'T HIT, like a mole strapped in TNT 10. Mystery box, 1 hit, contains all the mini plastic moles you can collect, may show up once per game 11. Key holder, DON'T HIT, when your level is high enough, it might pop up to throw you the key to the next themed arcade 12. do I need more? Maybe 10ish successful kills in a row will put you in blazing mode. If you survive the minute without your HP reaching zero, you get EXP and Tickets based on your score. You get 3 skill points to spend each time you level up. Your opinions/thoughts on this game idea? Would you pay 9.99 to buy the full version? Free version would cap level to 6, 8 free games per day, watch ads to play more games. Add vending machine in the arcade so you can buy boosts? Story spoiler: The arcade owner made up the prophecy just to get kids' hopes up so they can keep playing and buying all the cheaply made mallets. He knows the kids that excel quickly will eventually find out. Once you reach a high enough level, he'll ask you to test out the new machine in the back room which is rigged to bomb you like crazy. You wake up with your hands, feet, mouth bound up and he tells you he's gonna ship you over seas as a slave to make plastic moles for his machines. You'll have to wait til the game comes out to find out how he excapes and becomes legend. :P

    Fantasy RPG Story/Lore - feeback+suggestions

    Hiya. Since Sain is the main character, it would be nice to know what his goal is (and a hint of who the main antagonist would be nice too). You need to grab people's attention fast! In the paragraph starting with "The catalyst..", I can almost get a feel of his hate towards the Gwelds. If Sain vows to avenge his bro, that paragraph might be a good place to put it. And since he doesn't want to lose his last family member, I can understand why he would want to get the meds for his dad. So far (in my opinion), it just seems like Sain is dragged along in the story. I would like to see him make a crazy decision to change the world. :P If all this stuff was gonna go in your next post, then my bad ;) Other than that, the story sounds fine to me so far.
  13. The player is an archaeologist in the jungle and discovered an ancient city. But one misstep sends him tumbling down a deep, deep hole.. He must find a way out or become like the pile of bones he fell on that broke his fall.
  14. I like it alot and I'll like it even more if the mentor wasn't entirely successful. As in, the PC is now slowly turning into a creature himself. Not only does he have to save his village, but he has to find a cure for himself. AND the sky knights want to capture PC alive to see how it was done so they can use it to enslave all humans.
  15. What I personally like in games is puzzles! I think what makes a good game are the conflicts that you encounter and the fun of solving them your own way. So, right now the astronaut is in the middle of space right? If that space is kinda empty, then there's not much conflict going (based on what I read from your post). What if the astronaut happened to get stranded in an area where something HUGE happened and there's debris from a ship collisions/battle everywhere and it all seems dead and quiet.. You don't know what happened, but you need to find parts to fix your ship very soon because oxygen is limited. You must navigate through the debris/destroyed battleships to find the right parts and hopefully find oxygen/water supplies to live longer to find more parts. Add alien scavenger race to make it more interesting if you want. Or just let his ship crash into alien planet and rebuild with supplies on land? /shrug
