The changes you made now cause the following error when building on GCC 6.2.0: ../../source/as_callfunc.cpp: In function ‘int PrepareSystemFunction(asCScriptFunction*, asSSystemFunctionInterface*, asCScriptEngine*)’: ../../source/as_callfunc.cpp:489:47: error: ‘class asCTypeInfo’ has no member named ‘CastToObjectType’ asSTypeBehaviour *beh = &dt.GetTypeInfo()->CastToObjectType()->beh; Edit: Changing line 489 to the following fixes it asSTypeBehaviour *beh = &CastToObjectType(dt.GetTypeInfo())->beh;
  2. I second the typedef, I too use a custom string class. Although I'll still have to edit the internals, as I use reference counted strings not value type.
  3. I don't compile it that often, only when I'm working on a patch such as the get/setter one. I've changed the makefile a few times by hand, and every time I mean to ask for it to be changed.
  4. Would you mind making the following change to the test_feature gnuc makefile: CXX = g++ to CXX ?= g++ This allows you to override the compiler used, you already have it this way for the libraries makefile.   Thanks
  5. I'm sure andreas will give a better answer but:   1. You have to create the class instance using asIScriptEngine::CreateScriptObject, you pass it a copy of asIScriptObject that you can obtain by using GetObjectType functions. Then you can prepare a method inside of the class for execution, then use SetObject in asIScriptContext before executing: asIObjectType *objType = module->GetObjectTypeByName("MyClass"); asIScriptFunction *func = objType->GetMethodByDecl("void foo()"); void *obj = context->CreateScriptObject(objType); context->Prepare(func); context->SetObject(obj); context->Execute(); context would be a instance of asIScriptContext.   2. This is explained and has examples in the documentation, see http://angelcode.com/angelscript/sdk/docs/manual/doc_register_val_type.html#doc_reg_val_1
  6. Currently get/setters do not support namespaces in the return type. Attached is a simple patch that adds support for scopes in IsVirtualPropertyDecl() which previously did not check for them. I also added a simple test case.   Edit: First diffs I generated in the wrong order, fixed.   Thanks, dkrusu

  8. I recently switched my laptop to Fedora 22 and it also fails this test:http://pastebin.com/zYddH5vg, I'm not seeing a easy way to install older GCC versions in Fedora like you can in Ubuntu, if I figure out a way I'll test with older versions (specifically 4.8.x which works for you).
  9. I get cable installed on Tuesday, when I do I'll give you access to a Ubuntu shell with GCC 4.4-4.9 64-Bit 
  10. It also fails with GCC 4.6 and 4.4 which you said was workingm so obviously it has to be something Ubuntu either does, or a flag they enable that Redhat isn't.
  11. I'm using the default makefiles, no changes the flags. Checked with GCC 4.9, 4.8, and 4.7 all fails the same way.   For some resaon the formatting wont work for me so here is a list of the versions and flags http://pastebin.com/96pspBzS   So maybe the issue has something to do with some of the flags Ubuntu uses to compile GCC? I'm downloading GCC 4.6, but I am on horribly slow wifi at the moment, i'll update when I get a chance.    Thanks
  12. Just as a reminder that this should only occur on Windows, as most other operating systems are POSIX based and are case-sensitive.

  15. Thanks that's exactly what I am looking for. If you have time it might be helpful to state that in the documentation for Suspend() and Abort(), I thought it would immediately take effect.
