  3. Sounds good! With your tools are you able to tweak volumes etc? It sounds like it crescendos a bit at the end, might be good to make that lead (woodwind sound) more dynamic.
  4. Thanks for the tips! That web based synth is cool! I've been toying a bit with a pitch envelope but just not sounding right. I'll try messing with Bfxr see what I come up with. My troubles may be partly due to the synths I'm trying to use - the ones I've messed with so far are either so restrictive they may as well be soundFonts, or they lack elements I need - no pitch control, no white noise etc - some don't even have editable envelopes. If I get more 8 bit projects in the future I'll probably have to explore the commercial chiptune synths that are out there.   Thanks again!

I am working on a bunch of 8 bit / 8 bit sounding FX for a game and have been struggling with sounds like 'water splash', 'drink potion' etc. I am using various free 8 bit and chiptune VST synths (Ym, BitBoy, Peach, NESPulse, etc).   I'm wondering if anyone has some suggestions on how I should approach achieving liquid sounds in 8 bit?   Thanks in advance!
  6. Great tune! Feels a bit strange for a space game - although it would absolutely ROCK if that game was some kind of wild west in space setting - with gritty ships and grittier pilots etc!!

  8. Hey! I am new here and figured since my goal is networking with fellow musicians as well as game developers who may have helpful tips and feedback, or may be looking for musicians to work with etc, it would be good to introduce myself. I didn't see a forum dedicated to this so decided to post it here.   I have been making music since 1995. I began with a 4 track tape recorder and bass guitar and some effects pedals. I bought an Ensoniq EPS and began making gabber techno then drum and bass. Later I moved my work to the computer. Now my studio resides entirely on my desktop computer. All of my instruments are VSTs and all my samples are collected from various sources online.   Currently I create Dub/Reggae, Electronic Ska, Dubstep, Dark Drum and Bass, Complextro, Moombahton, Hardstep, Trip-Hop, Experimental/Ambient - whatever I feel inspired to make. I am currently 100% studio, I'm not playing live shows but will be doing so later this year.   I have created some music and sound effects for a video game project that I will link to when it is completed. At this time I am the sole 'music guy' on the project.
