Coherent UI Mobile will be: Bundled for free in all current Coherent UI products Available standalone for 100$ (30% discount during beta) Available for iOS and Android (currently iOS only in the first beta) Compatible with the PC versions of Coherent UI Features include: HTML5 & CSS3 support GPU acceleration In-game browser Compatibility with Coherent UI for PC Powerful & simple data binding between the UI & Unity Coherent UI is a graphical User Interface system specially designed for games. Game developers and UI artists can use standard modern HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to create game interface and interaction. Companies can save time and money, leveraging existing skills to implement the UI, as there is no special knowledge needed to use the system. You can also embed a full in-game browser. The interfaces between Coherent UI and Coherent UI Mobile are completely compatible so you can create your UI once and deploy it on all platforms we support. The same extremely powerful yet simple binding is used on all platforms. On June 17 we are starting the open beta initially supporting only iOS. It is going to be a free update for everyone who is using Coherent UI for Unity3D. Coherent UI Mobile will be bundled in both the Basic and Standard versions of Coherent UI at no additional cost and will be fully featured everywhere. Developers who want to make games only for mobile will be able to get Coherent UI Mobile as a stand alone product for just 100$. We will offer them a 30% discount if they decide to pre-order (that is until the beta period is going on). Even in the standalone version they will still be able to preview their work in the editor via a special version of Coherent UI for PC. Android is the next platform we are going to cover and it’s going to be included in the official release of Coherent UI Mobile. If you want to learn more about our new product, check out our blog post about it.
  2. Coherent UI is a HTML5-based GUI library that has just become available on Unity3D Asset store. Buy Basic or Standard version or download a free trial from Coherent Lab’s website.    All versions of Coherent UI for Unity3D can be used for the creation and implementation of HUDs, menus, dialogs and in-game browsers. Our GUI library currently supports Windows (32 and 64 bit) and Mac OS X and soon we’re going to add Linux as well. The Basic version covers all the primary needs of game UI developers allowing them to have both HUD and in-game browser at the same time. Standard gives more creative freedom because it allows unlimited number of views, SSL support, on-demand views and control view framerate, features needed for more complex projects. We encourage Unity3D developers to take a look at our GUI library and to give us their feedback about it. All of your reviews and ratings will help us a lot with the future development of the product. We are always open to discuss ideas for new features and tools that will be of benefit for game UI developers.

    Managing pop-up GUI items

Hello,   At Coherent Labs we're developing a HTML5-based GUI library that will help you with the pop-up GUI. However, we're a commercial closed source vendor. So it might not be appropriate for your game but you can give it a try.   There are also some open source solutions that might help you out: Chromium Embedded Framework EAWebKit   I hope this will help you out with your project.

    Questions about Coherent UI

Coherent UI is intended to be integrated into a game engine, therefore a compilation is necessary. We are also offering a ready made integration with Unity3D for which you don't need to compile anything.     I looked through your site and one of the first things it shows is having to compile Coherent UI to use it. How does one use for web development? I'm sure compiling the code (in C++ or C#) is unnecessary.
  5. Kylotan,    If you're looking for a great GUI Toolkit you might want to try Coherent UI. With it you are using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript to build UI which makes your job much easier. It has a smooth Unity3D integration as well as binding for C# and C++. Ask for a trial from the website and give it a try http://coherent-labs.com.
  6. Coherent UI is an HTML5 based game UI solution. Its newest release 1.2.1. adds 2 major new features - handling of downloads from the in-game browser and exporting .Net objects with their methods to JavaScript.    File download also enables developers to integrate seamlessly advanced social features like users sharing photos, videos or other content. Also game asset streaming - downloading resources in run-time becomes a piece of cake to implement.   We've added a new feature that automatically exports .Net object with all of its methods to the browser JavaScript.    Also we have re-designed our internal task scheduling routines and gained up to 30% performance improvement. That helped us to improve the on-demand views, which are now much faster.   Check out our latest blog post if you'd like to learn more of how to take advantage of these new features:   http://blog.coherent-labs.com/2013/04/release-notes-for-coherent-ui-121.html
