[FREE] Book of Demons now has a demo on Steam

In case anyone is interested, we've written a blogpost about how we use surveys, feedback widget and automated stat collection to get feedback about the game from the early access community. You can find it here:
3. We have just launched a free demo for Book of Demons on Steam. You can find it here: Offering a demo during early access is something very few developers do, but we’re confident in our game and are working hard to raise the awareness. It’s a kind of experiment for us and we’re very anxious to see how well it goes and what will be its impact on our sales. Game Pitch: Book of Demons is a hack & slash distilled to its purest form. Devilishly charming and fun as hell. Slay the armies of darkness in the dungeons below the Old Cathedral and save the terror-stricken Paperverse from the clutches of the Archdemon himself.

Book of Demons - Early Access Sales Stats

Thanks for the analysis and suggestions. Normally we'd be disappointed by such numbers, but what makes us optimistic is the very high satisfaction rate among customers (94% positive reviews on Steam) and data from the SteamSpy which suggests, that we are indeed off to a good start and performing above average. Still, getting bigger game visibility seems to take a lot of effort and it’d be great to find a way to make a bigger leap rather than building up slowly over a long period of time.

Book of Demons - Early Access Sales Stats

Sorry for that! Just updated the link. Copy & paste mistake...   Anyway, good to hear that our info might be helpful. Good luck with your EA launch!
6. About 2 months ago we have launched our hack and slash game, Book of Demons, on Steam Early Access. I've written a short post on our blog detailing our marketing efforts and our sales data. You can find it here:      Steam page:   As you can see, the sales are ok, but not great, so we're looking for any tips and hints :)
7. Not sure if anyone remembers, but in March here on Gamedev we have announced our deck-building dark fantasy hack and slash, Book of Demons. Well, today the game landed on Steam early access and so far we're getting positive reviews :)     Here is the official game website with more media: As usual, all feedback is welcome :)
8. Hi! We've just announced Book of Demons, a paper style hack & slash that mixes old with new, tribute with parody. We've been working on the game for about 4 years now and it's very exciting to finally show what we've been working on to the world. Since our previous games were much smaller casual hidden-object and match-3 titles, Book of Demons is a hardcore game with a casual soul. Or maybe the other way round?   Here is the announcement trailer that features first footage from the actual gameplay:      And here are some screenshots from the game:         Key Book of Demons features: Paper cut-out graphics Upgradable card system that unifies items, spells, and skills Unique movement and fighting system for more strategic gameplay Flexiscope™ system that adjusts sessions size to players’ liking Endless end-game mode with 100+ challenges First truly accessible hack & slash Randomized dungeons Single-player campaign with 3 character classes 60+ different monster types Lots of humor   There is more info about the game, and we're doing pre-orders at a promo price on the official website (via Humble Store Widget): The game will be released on Steam ( in the second half of this year. We got accepted without having to go through Greenlight, so kudos to Valve So, what do you think? I hope you like it.
