1. ## Using true values for gravity in a 2D game that must use physics

So now as understand the conversion rate I have another problem, offcurse I was calculating wrong the movement of the box based on the gravity and that resulting on a offscreen in 2 seconds. Now my problem is that I try to get some numbers from my program while debugging but I'm not getting the numbers I was expecting to get.   My actual code look sorta like that in my main loop if frame the key frames ** I expect to get after 60 frames 4.90m as distance but instead I got 4.99m and same for the other frames, the velocity seems correct so not really know what's could be wrong, probably Sorry for the obvious error regarding mt (i mean m offcurse) and thank you Norman for the tips u gave me. I have to admit I get little bit lost on the discussion about acceleration. I understand I make stupid error about conversion so I must convert ((a*32)/fps)/fps to get the correct conversion as said Antony, right ?

Well fun is not take into account if I have to write some drag and lift formula and expect certain behavior by my body with certain values and in opposite find totally different :) my object it's a 5 mt box and must be this size but not think I can scale down to 32px per 5 ..... Drag and lift based on speed so I would like to get at least some sort of normality on numbers.

Hello everyone, I would like to know your opinion about the problem I'm facing right now. I'm try to using GameMaker for make a simple game that will let user control a box where I will apply a "normal" force of gravity like on earth of 9.81m/s², for convenience I decide to use a scale of 1 mt equal to 32 pixel. 1 second is equivalent to 60 frame execution so based on this I will get a velocity increment of around 5.232 pixel per frame and offcurse that's a lot and result in my object just disappear from screen in 2 seconds. I want to keep correct numbers just because I want then to implement the drag and lift force for this object but I'm already stopped from this simple limit. What's your suggestions ?
