    Seeking Criticism

Thanks. Does anyone at least find the concept appealing?

    Seeking Criticism

Thank you folks. Since most of the comments here state that the story is fine, what would it take to turn this into a game? I know absolutely nothing about games, never having played them for decades. However, I am trying to market this to industry pros by creating a test market.

    Seeking Criticism

This is not a search for a job, but I am seeking honest criticism for my new book: https://www.amazon.com/Spell-Knights-Kenneth-C-Eng-ebook/dp/B06XPKCRXY/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1489902286&sr=8-1   The reason for this is that I am trying to develop this into a game (as can be seen by the scenarios in the book), but I cannot figure out why no one is interested. I have received some criticisms, but I am trying to get multiple opinions in order to assess my audience.  As a postscript, I am not interested in discussing my political views, as most folks here seem to point that out as the first thing Kenneth Eng is known for. This topic is meant for a discussion on the above book.

    What are you working on?

I'm working on a project called Spell Knights, using Blender to model the characters first: http://www.lulu.com/shop/kenneth-eng/spell-knights/ebook/product-23068242.html

Sci Fi Author Trying to Network, Not Classified

Would it be accurate to say that you were featured in those publications not for writing, but because of your other views which we are not discussing?   Regardless, the fact is that millions of people heard of my book, and many copies were sold. I do have an audience that I am trying to market to. I am seeking to speak to those who can assist me, if they are professionals in the video game or film industry.  Again, I know nothing about coding or computer stuff, but I am highly creative and diligent.

So, is anyone interested? I marketed my book Dragons LT in the E3 conference a while ago, but they said that dragons were difficult to use for gameplay due to some computer/tech problems that I didn't understand. Perhaps technology has advanced.
  7. Thank you, Elsket. I am unable to find your post. Care to tell me about the project or PM me?

If you're looking for a recent writing sample, here it is, my book Spell Knights: http://www.lulu.com/shop/kenneth-eng/spell-knights/ebook/product-23068242.html Also, my books were viewed by millions of people from some articles published in major newspapers like FOX News and CNN. Even if I got bad reviews, the fact that I got so many folks to see the book was impressive.
  9. Hello, I am Kenneth Eng, the author of the well-known Dragons: Lexicon Triumvirate and the 0th Dimension. I am seeking work as a writer in order to get into the video game industry. My writings have appeared on major news networks, and I was once on Science Fantastic with Michio Kaku. A brief look at my books reveal that I am able to think outside the box.  Feel free to check out my latest writing sample: http://www.lulu.com/shop/kenneth-eng/spell-knights/ebook/product-23068242.html
  10. I was told by a moderator that I can start a topic to network, but not to actively look for a position. I am also not interested in discussing my political views.  I am a well-known sci fi writer who has had several books published, including Dragons: Lexicon Triumvirate and the 0th Dimension. I graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in film production and screenwriting. My writings have been seen by millions of sci fi fans, and I have also had short stories published in a variety of places. I appeared on Destinies Sci Fi Radio, and on Science Fantastic with Michio Kaku. I worked in the editorial department of Marvel Comics.  I am trying to make connections with video game professionals who would be interested in my ideas and my writing abilities. I have no coding experience and minimal artistic skills, but I am able to think outside the box. An example would be my old book Dragons: Lexicon Triumvirate (out of print), which features dragons as the heroes and humans as the villains. I was bored of LOTR and D and D using hobbits and elves, so I thought I might try something brand new and fresh.  Thank you for your time.

    Well-Known Author Seeking Networking

Thank you for your response. I would prefer a fixed salary, but if that is beyond your budget, I can work for a very low pay to start with (even part-time or contract). I do not know anything about revenue share or legal proceedings, ergo that would not be an option right now, especially since this is only an internet message board.
  12. Hello, I already posted something like this, but I am interested in having a discussion with industry professionals who are NOT interested in my political views.  I am a sci fi author who has written Dragons: Lexicon Triumvirate, The 0th Dimension and Spell Knights:   http://www.lulu.com/shop/kenneth-eng/spell-knights/ebook/product-23068242.html   I am not just an "idea man" because I do have published credits that have been featured on FOX News, CNN, NBC, the Washington Post, Newsday, the LA Times and the SF Chronicle. I have also been on the radio with Michio Kaku, and on Destinies Sci Fi Radio.  I understand that it is difficult to make a video game with dragons due to tech problems that I do not understand. However, my latest book Spell Knights would be effective as a slash-killer game with RPG elements. The story itself was regarded by some publishing professionals as "video game material."  I am also willing to take on lower-end jobs in order to prove my abilities in the industry. Perhaps if someone here needs a man to write dialogue or a script for their current project.

    What are you working on?

Currently, I am working on Spell Knights, an intended third-person slasher game that has RPG elements.    http://www.lulu.com/shop/kenneth-eng/spell-knights/ebook/product-23068242.html   If anyone would like to network, and you are an industry professional, I would like to hear from you.

Well-Known SciFi Writer Looking for Networking

For those conservatives or neutrals here, I am seeking constructive comments and or leads that might result in employment in video games. I do not have much to offer except my mere skills, but I respectfully approach members who are willing to talk to me in a reasonable fashion.

Furthermore, I have several low-budget scripts for those who also work in film as well as video games. If anyone is interested, let me know.  One of them is a low-budget feature with a black guy as the lead. I'm not sucking up to political correctness, I just felt it was interesting for this particular project.
