  1. sure, depends what the project is of course
  2. I think you don't understand my goal. I would like to find people interested in doing game jams. If the idea is too complicated to be done in 72 hours, then we need a different idea is all. I am not underestimating programming. The goal is to crank-out a game to the best of our abilities within a deadline. We do this a for a couple game jams over time and build up our skills and ideas. If by chance we ever really really like one of our ideas we can expand on it later.
  3. 2-3 days. It wouldn't be a God of War game I assure you have that. Polishing and art is never really done, but we would bring the game to a point we are happy with in that small amount of time. Example of a game ive seen would be a mobile game where pressing on the edge of a screen will create a wall there. The point of the game is to keep a ball from bouncing out of bounds. So you can essentially make 2 walls at a time, and you just have to keep the ball bouncing around. You gain points per wall bounce. Difficulty increases when a second ball is introduced or sometimes really simple obstacles are introduced. obviously, we wouldnt make that game since it is someone else's idea but the size and scope is right.
  4. I'm interested in joining game jams and making games that can be completed in 72 hours to a week. Definitely not interested in any project that takes over a month right now. I am a 3D artist and animator. I can do some 2D as well. I'm looking for 1 or 2 programmers and possibly a 2D artist/animator. I live in Eastern Canada. Looking for people in a similar timezone. Message me on this thread or directly if you are interested.
  5. Have you made any games in the past? i worry about the scope of your game. Hobby games with big scopes tend to not get completed, especially if they are your first effort.

Looking for programmer for SMALL project

we are developing on unity. So i guess it is C#
  7. I have a little game project I started. Currently have one programmer, and myself as a game designer and artist. It's a simple game, and one that can be finished in a month to 2 months of time. We already started on it, I am already in possession of a lot of the art assets we could start out with, but since we both can only work on it part time, we just need someone extra help with programming enemy AI and importing character/enemy sprites. The goal is to make small polished game to help develop our skills and be something we can use as a portfolio piece. If this sounds interesting to you IM me or leave a comment in this thread. side note, a VFX artist would also be sweet.

    Looking for VFX artist

Looking for an artist to help spice up the visual appeal of my game. We need some projectiles, some particle fx for healing and powering ups, etc... The game is a short, simple isometric, action game with a small rpg system in there. Artist will need to be able to integrate their VFX in unity, as well as make sure their VFX look good in an isometric perspective. If you are interested message me here or in a pm.

    Fun hobby game

do you have a role planned for yourself? do you know what kind of game?
  13. Hi I am a game designer currently working with 3 programmers on a Binding of Isaac like game. https://vimeo.com/237454382 Our aim for the game is mostly to be able to produce a solid playable demo. If we expand on the game, or make a different game will be decided later. As of now, we have most of the game's base mechanics implemented, but our art production is slacking behind. We are currently using placeholder art and we'd like for real art to come into action. I'm looking for an artist or 2 to help get the art production up to speed. As artist for the project, you will get to decide a lot about how the game's art will look and feel. We want you to be able to put some of yourself in the game and have at the very least a piece you feel comfortable adding to your portfolio. We have not fully decided if we'll be using sprites or pixel art but the choice will largely be left up to the artists. The game will require simple animations for certain enemies so the artist will need to know how to animate. if you are interested, you can reply to this post or message me on this site.

i'd be down to give you a hand for that kind of stuff. I like to think i'm pretty good at iterating on ideas and getting people thinking about semantics
