  1. Jeremy continues October with some more Halloween spirit by attempting to go bodyless and pass off green screen artifacts as monster makeup! Reggie Fils-Aime enters the Video Game Hall of Fame and is honored with a lifetime achievement award. The industry mourns the loss of John Kirby, who at one point saved Donkey Kong and possibly Nintendo as we know it today. Jeremy also covers the latest PixelFest 2020 developments and gets techy with Castlevania IV ... though he's still not done yet. And... drumroll... Jeremy completely forgets to mention that there will be a PixelFest Devs meetup on Tuesday, October 15th at Pixels = Pints + Bytes in Norfolk, VA.     PixelFest is an event held in Norfolk, VA and is dedicated to "Growing through Love of Games". The event has been running since 2016 and has hosted over 10,000 attendees. Now, founder Jeremy Alessi is kicking off a PixelFest Podcast (PixelCast) which is all about growing the local game development scene in Hampton Roads, Virginia; yet it covers elements of games and game development that could be useful to anyone. This episode was released on 9/4/2019 and episode 2 will be released on 9/11/2019 at 8pm. In this first episode, Jeremy rushes headlong into the unknown and runs the gamut from Pilotwings to the Oculus Quest. Listen along and always keep Growing through Love of Games!

He's the creator of Starship Horizons, which has been making the convention rounds for 5 years. Most recently, David has taken the underlying Starship Horizons hardware control engine and re-skinned it for escape rooms all over the country via Mythric Mystery Master.
