    Apparently, I hate myself. This game creep the hell out of me. I can't play it straight for too long, yet I have an urge to play it. I have just started, but I can see I will have a lot of scary nightmares before I finish it. I think it might be the most scary game ever made. It is so credible. So, do you think its the most scary game ever? I played fear a little, and it was nothing close to this game.
  3. DirectX effects files.

    DirectX provides a way to compile C-like effects files. Is there a way to precompile these effects files into GPU assembly? and load the assembly files directly with directX? So it won't be so easy to take or change the effects of a program by the end-user. Thanks in advance.
  4. I don't understand how the graphics card figures which is the screen pixel cordinates from the vertex shader. I don't understand how the graphics cards know to take specifically posH and calculated from it the eventual screen coordinates. The code does not mention it anywhere, what if I had also POSITION1? Does the graphic card has a default behaviour of taking POSITION0 as the homogeneos coordinates to calculate screen coordinates? I would appreciate if you could clarify this to me. Thanks in advance.
  5. I am just learnning the Direct3D shaders (2.0). I obviously should make classes to use the shaders and directX functinaliry, instead of using it directly in my game. What should be the attitude of encapsulating the Direct3D API? What are your suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    I hate anything that comes from the sea. Fish smell like satan's breath to me. They taste like sea water mixed with sewage. Upon consumption of the defiled flesh, I feel the urge to puke. I am also unable to drink anything with soda in it, like coke, 7up and all this crap. It makes my throat hurt, it also tastes like anti cough syrop. What else? I don't like coconut either. But I love choclate and red meat! yummy!

    Solved the problem. I should have sent the hWnd as parameter to msgProc, which I did not. And use it with the DefWindowProc.

    Ok, I solved part of the problem. Because I returned 0 and not DefWindowProc () it didnt work. However, I have another problem. I want to pass the window procedure as a parameter to the ControlMain class. If I use WNDPROC to pass a window procedure as parameter, then on creation I get NULL and last error, 1400.
  9. I used to create a window successfuly with normal functions. Now I tried to insert this process into a class, but eventhough I copied the code that worked, the CreateWindow returns NULL and with no error indication.   14. I got rated up for about 34 rating points. Now my ratings is just 5 (Yay! I can spend it in the lounge!) I didnt post anything awkward in the time I got rated down. Does this proove that a person (or a monster) with a low rating has no chance of being rated up, because the moment someont sees a person with such a low rating he would rate him down? I call this phenomena the: "Zero rating sink". I am just wondering. Feel free to delete this post if it annoys you. No thanks in advance.
  15. If each time I am setting the view matrix for the camera, I will also set the projection matrix (even if it doesnt change). Will it have any actual performance issue? Or is it "free"? Thanks in advance.
