  1. Open-Source C# RPG

    I took a break for a couple months but now I'M BACK! I'm still looking for programmers to join, PM me if you are interested.
  2. What kind of games are you interested in developing? http://rpg-editor.com/ (C# RPG) No team [yet] jburditt #0434 (discord) m@jburditt.com (email)
  3. Open-Source C# RPG

    I'm making a lot of progress but it would be way more interesting if others joined in. I've added two more details: 1. There is room for collaboration if you had a different 2D C# RPG in mind. 2. It would be easy to use this with another graphics library e.g. Unity   If anyone wants to jump in, here are some upcoming tasks (I can give read permission on request):
  4. Open-Source C# RPG

    I made a video to show off the current features. https://jburditt.tinytake.com/sf/MTQ3NzgwN181MjA3NjY0 I could use help with the following: 1. Story writer 2. Pixel artist 3. Music composer 4. Sound 5. C# programmer (RPG or tIDE editor)
  5. Hi, Looking to work with other C# developers that love old-school RPGs. If you want to work on your own C# RPG there is room to collaborate. I'm currently using MonoGame but I decoupled the graphics and it would be relatively easy to get it working with Unity. Code - https://github.com/jburditt/Classic-RPG-Framework I'm working on a open-source C# classic RPG built using MonoGame. I plan to architect it in a way that I will be able to use it as a framework for building RPGs of all types. Here are some screenshots:   It will have a modular design that will allow other developers / game designers to use their own modules for different aspects of the game e.g. side battle, front battle, action rpg, tactical rpg, etc. I want to start really simple since I don't have a lot of time to work on it ~2 hours per week. I will be working on a very basic rpg to begin with, keeping modular design in mind for later expansion. I have a website and forum for collaborating and sharing ideas. http://rpg-editor.com   About Me I'm a 33 year old software developer with 11 years software development experience. I started programming when I was 13 on QBasic. I live in Vancouver, Canada on the off change anyone lives nearby and wants to code jam. https://github.com/jburditt   Thanks, Jeb
  6. [web] HTML 5 Simple GUI

    Where is Button defined? new Button(x + width - 10, y, 10, 10, "X");
  7. I'm a huge jQuery fan myself. I also suggest MooTools, which is more of a framework than a library (jQuery). This game is purely javascript using MooTools if I remember correctly: http://www.vanthia.com/
  8. [web] CSS from a layout

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" http-equiv="content-type"> <title>t</title> <style type="text/css"> .header { background-color: #330033; } </style> </head> <body> <div class="header"> Test </div>l; </body> </html> -----------------------OR INLINE CSS------------------------ <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" http-equiv="content-type"> <title>t</title> </head> <body> <div style="background-color:#330033"> Test </div> </body> </html> Your code looks alright; maybe it is because you don't have a div end tag?
  9. From what I see so far it is all php with a database backend. Seems like a very basic game so far. You could update the game hourly with a php service of sorts.
  10. Dude if you want help with your javascript MMORPG I'm totally in. As soon as I get my register email I'll figure out what technology it uses. PHP can only be updated when you post to the page, unless you are using AJAX. I bet it uses java.
  11. Your absolutly right. I edited my post and made it a bit clearer.
  12. Hi. I haven't been able to find a community for business software, something similar to gamedev.net but for applications. Gamedev is great for games, don't know about applications in general :) Does anybody know of a site similar to gamedev.net but targeting applications? The Program: Shift scheduling software targeting restaurants mainly. Enter employees, jobs, shifts, availability and it schedules staff. It is a website so users can request time off / vacations from home. I was thinking if I offered 50% of sales upto $50,000 then someone might help? Again probably the wrong place to look eh? The program is more or less done but it hasn't been tested. http://www.evilkarma.com/ss/bin/ Thanks! [Edited by - Jebediah on October 17, 2007 10:56:10 AM]
  13. I can sell you one from my work for around $10,000 :D Try google. I came up with http://www.nukedit.com/. I'm familiar with some of the php CMS's out there, but no ASP CMS.
  14. www.dyndns.org I think that is the website. Host your own server using your computer. Install the necessary tools (IIS probably) and you will have your own server! I did this before and it is really slick.
