1. ## Simple directshow video filter

Is there any simple tutorial or sample. I need only simple filter, which get uncompressed video data and output the same data. To understand how it works. Tutorial in directshow sdk is little bit messy for me. And sample code "Contrast Filter" mentioned in help is something like I want. But the source code is missing. Sorry for my english. Thx for any help.
2. ## sharing OpenGL rendering context

U have to create rendering context and the second rendering context set sharing between them by calling wglShareLists(hRC, hPreviousRC); And then when are u going to call any GL func for a specific window u have to set its context as current ( wglMakeCurrent(hDC,hRC); U can share only context within a thread. Sorry for my eng, I hope u can understand it :-)
3. ## dumb question about nurbs

Yes nurbs surface uses nurbs curves. NURBS is faster to compute.
4. ## The Best Oriented Bounding Box Criteria

Which criteria do u apply to find the best OBB? I mean: it's better to have OBB with minimum surface area or minimum volume or something else?
5. ## Rotating tilemap... or the camera?

gluLookAt is not glut func. And what about glRotate ? And it doen't matter what u rotate, because ogl doesn't have extra camera matrix like DX. So whatever u are doing, do it with modelview matrix.
6. ## How to create Oriented Bounding Box

Ok, I was really upset with PCA ;-)) So I came up with better solution, first of all find convex hull, and then OBB. Because OBB has one face in the same plane as face from convex hull. And the results are 100% accurate ;-)
7. ## How to create Oriented Bounding Box

I have book "Mathematics for 3D Game Programming and Computer Graphics" and there is one algorithm for finding OBB, based on statics. You can look on results Good result And when few vertices is far from others: Bad result It was pretty fun to do it. Yellow is AABB. White is OBB.
8. ## How to create Oriented Bounding Box

Maybe this is it http://www.cs.unc.edu/~geom/theses/gottschalk/main.pdf There is chapter called "Fitting an OBB".
9. ## How to create Oriented Bounding Box

I found one algorithm in czech language but only slides, so I don't know how to do it exactly, i only know it can be done :-)) But there is one reference to [gottschalk 96]
10. ## How to create Oriented Bounding Box

Pardon me if I'm wrong. But that's work only if AABB is optimal OBB in objects identity.

Yes :-)
12. ## How to create Oriented Bounding Box

Can someone give me a link to tutorial or articel or whatever, where can I find how to create OBB. Thx.
13. ## Rendering Textures to the Stencil Buffer? (Solved)

U need 32bit texture, invisible pixels with alpha set to 0, and visible to 1. Then enable glEnable(GL_ALPHA_TEST); Set glAlphaFunc(GL_GREATER,0); Remember : Stencil testing occurs immediately after the alpha test, and immediately before the depth test.
14. ## Computing Lighting Normals per vertex.

If it is procedurally generated, why don't u generate the normals as well?
15. ## GL_EXT_framebuffer_object

Quote:Original post by GKW Have you tried a driver cleaner before installing a 75 series? YOu may have an old dll in the path. After your advice ;-) Thx for help, it help. I still wonder how they do it, why can it be done by only reinstall?
