  1. I have been contemplating this for a bit. Where have all the gaming jobs gone from 8 years ago? I remember when this site was filled with job postings from the industry. Now there are virtually none. I see this across the industry. From places like the bay area/Seattle craigslist to more industry specific sites like here at gamedev. Look up some stats, it is frightening. Any thoughts?

  11. For a free modeler I like Wings 3D. Although Wings has gotten better It still has limited export so I usually export (.obj or .3ds) and import into Blender or Truespace (both free with good export capabilities). But wings is a joy and seems to fit my modeling style.
  12. Don't worry about it Arenth. People that do that BS have issues. It seems to make them feel "mightier then thou" to degrade and humiliate people. Ridiculing and maliciously making fun of people shows a clear, underlying lack of self respect for themselves due to some kind of psychological problem(s).
