    linking uml and c++

    nobody??????
  4. Hi all, i'm new to uml diagrams and i d'like to know if the following is correct: composition is used when class1 has a member to class2 and class2 is deleted by class 1 aggreggation is used when class1 has a member to class2 and there is a whole/part relation association is used when class1 has a member to class2 dependency is used when class1 is dependent of class2 by a function parameter ex: class1::do(class2 var) We can find all this kinds of dependencies in our .h files. There can exist some extra dependencies in our cpp files like this: class1::do1() { cAdapter *adapter = engine->getAdapter(); } or class1::do2() { cAdapter adapter; } Now class1 is dependent from cAdapter in the cpp file. this is not seen in the class diagram.Is this correct? thx in advance [Edited by - Freaker13 on January 19, 2005 6:02:16 AM]

    operator overloading

    thx that's the solution. Didn't know you could do -> on an obj.
  6. Hi all, I've oveloaded the -> operator in my VTcMemSlot class but when i do slot->getPtr the overloaded operator isn't called.(slot is of type VTcRAMSlot which inherit from VTcMemSlot) class VTcMemSlot { friend class VTcCacheManager; friend class VTcCacheSlotOwner; public: VTcMemSlot(VTcCacheManager* manager, unsigned int bytes); ~VTcMemSlot(); inline VTcMemSlot* VTcMemSlot::operator ->() { manager->logger->wrStr(1,"operator->"); if(prev == NULL) manager->cacheListsLRU[indexInCacheList] = next;//zet de tweede op de eerste plaats else { //link prev and next prev->next = next; next->prev = prev; } //move slot to end of linked list manager->lastUsedSlots[indexInCacheList]->next = this; prev = manager->lastUsedSlots[indexInCacheList]; next = NULL; manager->lastUsedSlots[indexInCacheList] = this; return this; } void splitSlot (); void setSizeInBytes (unsigned int bytes){this->bytes = bytes;} virtual void* getPtr() = 0; thx in advance
  7. Hi all, i've read yann is using a sliding slot system to manage his vertices in VRAM. Do you need sometging like this in directX? I thought directx does already manage them for you. Or is this not fast enough?? thx in advance
  8. Why not using your scenegraph for culling,collision detection,...???
  9. Hi all, i've a problem with removing an element. i'm sure there's only one element in the hash_multimap. map.count(key) returns 1.But when i'm iterating through it,there seems to be more than 1 element. std::hash_multimap<std::string, GRaVertexBuffer*>::iterator it; pair< std::hash_multimap<std::string, GRaVertexBuffer*>::iterator, std::hash_multimap<std::string, GRaVertexBuffer*>::iterator > bounds; bounds = vbList.equal_range(resource->getName()); for (it = bounds.first; it != bounds.second; ++it) { if(resource->getId() == it->second->getId()) { vbList.erase(it); } }

    Lightmapping coords wanted

    Here is an article about lightmapping. You can find a link to coord generation on the bottom of that page. don't know if it's useful for you. http://www.flipcode.com/articles/article_lightmapping.shtml#derivation
  11. i removed the old drivers from agp card but not those from my pci card. gonna try that
  12. The dx diagnostic tests are working and i've got the latest motherboard driver.
