  1. Does anyone have any idea how to change the width of a frame dynamically when a page is loading without it going to its original value and then suddenly changing? cheers
  2. Yeah, I used: document.body.cols = "whatever" and I got rid of the boy tag at the bottom which, for some reason, sorted the problem.... cheers
  3. Thanks.For the images I'm using the background repositioning to "preload" them ( http://www.ilovejackdaniels.com/css/preloading-images-with-css/ ). I dont know whether its the images because the problem does no occur if you move the mouse up and down after the ends of the words, even though the background is still being changed. Cheers

    xerces problem

    Thanks, I don't see why it would return null, here's the code: XMLCh tempStr[100]; XMLString::transcode("Range", tempStr, 99); DOMImplementation* impl = DOMImplementationRegistry::getDOMImplementation(tempStr); XMLString::transcode("root", tempStr, 99); DOMDocument* doc = impl->createDocument(0, tempStr, 0); DOMElement* root = doc->getDocumentElement(); XMLString::transcode("FirstElement", tempStr, 99); DOMElement* e1 = doc->createElement(tempStr); root->appendChild(e1); XMLString::transcode("SecondElement", tempStr, 99); DOMElement* e2 = doc->createElement(tempStr); root->appendChild(e2); XMLString::transcode("aTextNode", tempStr, 99); DOMText* textNode = doc->createTextNode(tempStr); e1->appendChild(textNode); // optionally, call release() to release the resource associated with the range after done DOMRange* range = doc->createRange(); range->release(); // removedElement is an orphaned node, optionally call release() to release associated resource DOMNode* removedElement = root->removeChild(e2); removedElement->release(); // no need to release this returned object which is owned by implementation XMLString::transcode("*", tempStr, 99); DOMNodeList* nodeList = doc->getElementsByTagName(tempStr); //DOMNode* test = (DOMNode)root; const XMLCh* value=root->getNodeValue(); cout<<w2n(value)<<endl; can anyone give some guidance???? cheers

    xerces problem

    Thanks! I have this: const XMLCh* value=root->getNodeValue(); cout<<w2n(value)<<endl; I got an error: Unhandled exception at 0x00418755 in LanguageConverter.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000. at this line: for ( ; *ptr; ++ptr ) whats wrong?
  6. I found: parent.frames['mainFrame'].FunctionName(args);

    Quick type question..

    How didn't I spot that!! It should at least have given me a decent error...

    Compiling ode

    Ok, this is what I did (using dev-cpp): 1. Added ODE, OPCODE and ICE source + headers to my project. 2. Rebuilt my project (as a dll). Now, to have my game use the modified engine I linked the newly created lib and put the dll in the same folder. But... now I get linker errors when I rebuild my game eg.: main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x141): undefined reference to `dGeomGetBody' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x14f): undefined reference to `dGeomGetBody' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x1fe): undefined reference to `dCollide' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x253): undefined reference to `dJointCreateContact' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x275): undefined reference to `dJointAttach' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x2f6): undefined reference to `dBodyAddForce' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x321): undefined reference to `dSpaceCollide' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x337): undefined reference to `dWorldStep' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x344): undefined reference to `dJointGroupEmpty' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x39c): undefined reference to `dWorldCreate' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x3ad): undefined reference to `dHashSpaceCreate' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x3be): undefined reference to `dJointGroupCreate' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x3eb): undefined reference to `dWorldSetGravity' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x41c): undefined reference to `dCreatePlane' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x461): undefined reference to `dBodyCreate' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x497): undefined reference to `dMassSetBox' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x4ba): undefined reference to `dMassAdjust' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x4df): undefined reference to `dBodySetMass' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x538): undefined reference to `dBodySetPosition' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x64f): undefined reference to `dCreateBox' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x68e): undefined reference to `dGeomSetBody' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x6ee): undefined reference to `dBodyGetPosition' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x7d7): undefined reference to `dJointGroupDestroy' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x7e4): undefined reference to `dSpaceDestroy' main.o:main.cpp:(.text+0x7f1): undefined reference to `dWorldDestroy' main.o:main.cpp:(.text$_ZN5dMassC1Ev[dMass::dMass()]+0xd): undefined reference to `dMassSetZero' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status why is this? cheers

    Compiling ode

    So I need to compile OPCODE first and then reference that? cheers

    Free physics engines

    Thanks. I decided to use ODE, which seems great (so far).
