  1. I have tried to debug shaders in VS 2003 with managed code but it would not start. In non managed Code (C++) it works. Is ist possible to debug shaders in VS 2003 or not? Is here someone who has experiences with them? Thanks, pajofego
  2. Hi, I have tried to debug my HLSL code like I done it in C++! But it doesn't works! When I select the "Use Debug Version of Direct3D" radio button I get many exceptions when I start the application. Switching back to "Retail D3D Runtime" the application runs fine! Starting with "Start with D3D Debugging" the application will be compiled but it doesn't runs. So my question is, is it possible to debug shaders under C# like in C++ D3D application? Thanks, best regards pajofego
  3. I have also used fraps for video capturing but with my last 3D application on Win XP I have the problem that I can't record it. Thanks, pajofego
  4. I take once that it is possible to create a video from a directX application with directX-Show. Is this to complex or exist a example of this? Thanks. Best regards pajofego
  5. I have read in another board that with the new release of DirectX 9.c I should not need 4CC's makros to use floating point texture formats on GeForce FX Serires. Is this right? Can I now use this code for the GeForce 5900FX? (Sorry, I can't try this out because I have now an ATI card) m_pd3dDevice->CreateTexture(256, 256, 1, D3DUSAGE_RENDERTARGET, D3DFMT_A32B32G32R32F, D3DPOOL_DEFAULT, &m_pFloatTexture,0); Thanks, pajofego

    unsupported compiler target ps_3_0

@desk Thanks for your response. In the fact, this is what i had assumed. By the way, the directX 9.c is in the beta status do you know when will MS release the Summer Update 2004? Thanks. pajofeg
  7. Hi, i have tried to compile may effect file with following definition: technique tDoSomething{ pass P0 { VertexShader = NULL; PixelShader = compile ps_3_0 DoSomething; } } From the fxc.exe compiler i get the message: "unsupported compiler target ps_3_0". I thought it would be possible to compile in DirectX 9 pixel shader in 3.0 format. Have you an idea, why i can't compile my effect file? Thanks
