    use a struct struct{ string name; int hi_score; // date too maybe? }SCORE; Then just read and write in binary mode.

    Sorry I did have that ilGenImages(2,image); I was trying other stuff and I just forgot to change it back when I posted it. ilLoadImage is returning true because the quad is drawn and the image is shown but after that i have to kill the window process to close it.

I'm probably not loading multiple textures properly. Anybody know what is wrong?

    The new PCI Express cards can be bridged/joined to each other. Kinda like dual CPU I guess. But normally motherboards only have 1 AGP slot so if you want a second card it would have to be PCI

    SDL is not hard at all. Allegro just seems too dated these days. At least with SDL you can easily migrate to OpenGL later on.

    Apart from including glext.h, do I need to link something to use extensions? I ran this printf("%s",glGetString(GL_EXTENSIONS)); and it gave me "(null)"

    Morrowind what made it good or bad?

    I can honestly say that I liked everything about the game. Maybe some more classical RPG elements like dragons and goblins would have been nice.

    I assume you didn't want to use windows.h because you want the program portable but the fact is that conio.h is non standard. So gcc's version of conio.h is different to Borland's version and whatever other versions there are they are all quite different. So I suggest using windows.h
