  1. Earth Fly-by

That is impressive. Does the engine generate terrain based upon your location in accordance to Google maps (Sorry if you have explained this a million times)? How does it fair in other environments such as deserts?

  3. High Resolution Soldier Model FTW...

Man, you have be gone for so long I almost filed a missing person report! The new character models look great. One of the things that bothered me were those low poly characters, but I figured you had no choice since the game was already using too much resources with the physics and number of objects visible. Overall pretty impressive. Can't wait to see what your going to post (hopefully soon) next.
  4. New Name - New Websites - etc

I think the original colors were fine. Looked a little like vintage images: http://www.doglegs.net/cclovett/Machine%20Gun%20Firing.jpg
  5. New Name - New Websites - etc

The header looks really good, I wouldn't change it either. My only criticisms are: 1. Your page has too many boarders. I would remove the white boarders around the menu and the content area. 2. I think there is too much content on the main page, it reminds me of a my space page. On the main page I would have a small description of the game with some highlights, maybe a few thumbnails which open in a pop-up or Lightbox and finally a trailer of the game. Move everything else under screen shots/media. 3. I might be nitpicking but I think the header's right bottom corner looks too angular, I think it would look nicer if it blends in with the black. I uploaded a Gimped screen shot of the site bellow of how I think the site would look nicer. Keep up the good work man, I really think you are doing a great job. http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/3364/homepagep.png
  6. Warbots Battle Video - Freeze Frame

Looks impressive as always. I'm just wondering, do you approach game development based upon the test driven development? And if so how many test cases do you have?
  7. Quick update with more screenshots...

Looking good. Just wondering, what happens when an enemy shoots at the forcefield around a base? I was thinking it would be cool if the grid was to get distorted as if it absorbed the hit; a little like geometry wars when you blow up the black holes or whatever they are.
  8. Warbots Online - Statue Scene (Video Link)

Looks really good, however, I think the rocks are a little too shiny. It makes sense if they are wet due to rain but otherwise you might want to make it a bit more matte.
  9. Havok Physics [ Part 1 ]

Good to see your still alive and kicking. You keep disappearing for weeks/months leaving us hoping for updates. Nice to know your making progress. Anyways if you don't mind me asking, did you purchase the Havok engine? Do they sell it to anyone and if so what price range are we talking?
  10. Warbots Online working title ... Big Update xD

Nice progress, very professional looking. Have you looked into publishing your game on steam? I don't know much about what the process involves but I'm sure you will receive a greater exposure.
  11. Game story sequence

Hi, I'm wondering as to how games integrate story and sequence of events into their engine? What I mean is how do you tell your engine that when character reaches x stage of the map, for example initiate a fire and send 3 enemies of type x to that location? Where and how does this logic leave? Also how can I tell when the level is finished based up the completion of x, y and z; what if from level to level the number of tasks change or in certain levels you have no tasks other than wondering around for x number of minutes?
  12. [.net] C#: Set text box from a static method

WOW! Such a simple solution! Thank you! But just for sake of knowing, how would you solve this problem if it had to be static?
  13. [.net] C#: Set text box from a static method

Thank you all for your response, unfortunately I still haven’t been able to solve my problem and I think it is partly my fault for not specifically stating my problem. My code is as follows: public void ValidXmlDoc() { // some code before this settings.ValidationEventHandler += new ValidationEventHandler (ValidationCallBack); // some code after this } private static void ValidationCallBack(object sender, ValidationEventArgs e) { MessageBox.Show(e.Message, "Error"); } What I want to do is capture that the error in ValidationCallBack and dump it in a text box, my problem is I can't do this because ValidationCallBack is a static function and I can’t pass any parameters to it. If someone could suggest a solution it would be greatly appreciated.
  14. [.net] C#: Set text box from a static method

Thank you for the response but I'm looking for a solution for a desktop application.
  15. Hi, I have a method such as this: private static void foo() {...} Now I would like to set the text in a text box on my form to some value from within this function, how can I achieve this?
