I recommend to learn C from this book [url="http://www.amazon.com/C-Nutshell-OReilly-Peter-Prinz/dp/0596006977"]C in a Nutshell[/url] and would you would need to have access to linux/osx as your development system. When your through with the 200 pages (part 1) you would have gone from totally nothing to an advance beginner. What I really like about this book is that you write your example code (getting coding exercise) while reading about the subject. You could learn C with in a week and if you're fast even less time. After that you're next step should learning C++, after that OpenGL, then then ... before you know it you are creating games.

  3. Thanks, I will look at it... must install C# first! But one last thing: How fast is C#? (as C/C++?) and is C# a good platform to make games?
  4. I got a similar problem, I have been using VB6 for a couple year now and is just about started with VC6. I do understand C/C++ but when it comes to windows-stuff it halts. I think it's very difficult to make apps with VC6 (Win32), I think MSDN is not a very good source to learn from.. What alternative offline-sources could I get? (I know this is a VERY stupid question to ask) Is there any good guides/tutorials to switch from VB6 to VC6? (Would be very pleased to know)
