    waiting in C#

Quote:Original post by jpetrie I would recommend not doing it. You should decouple your game update logic and rendering logic -- render as fast as you can (possibly up to as fast as the refresh rate), and update logic based on elapsed time. Artificially fixing frame rate to anything other than the refresh rate is usually a waste of time. That said, most solutions for imposing delay involve using either the System.Windows.Forms.Timer class or p/invoking the QueryPerformanceCounter() and QueryPerformanceFrequency() functions. rendering as fast as possible and only waiting on game logic does seem good to me. I'm going to try doing it that way, thanks.

    waiting in C#

For the game I'm writing I need to have the computer wait a certain amount of time before displaying the next frame. I'm not sure how to actually do this however. How would you recommend doing this in C#? Thanks.
  3. Hey all, I'm trying to write a game using C#, and I'm having problems with correctly using Bitmaps and PictureBoxes. Does anyone know of a website that explains how to use them correctly? Thanks.

    liberty university code of conduct

Quote:Original post by Dmytry Well, consider this: For university degrees to mean anything at all, it needs to comply to certain standards. Building architecture must comply to certain standards of safety. Living conditions must comply with certain standards too (e.g. if there's less than 0c outside you can't leave students room unheated, or something like that). You can very well not give licences to "universities" that don't comply with standards. Sure, owner of university can do whatever shit he likes, but it won't be university anymore, at least not in legal sense. In 'democracy', majority of people can set these standards to be whatever they like, and if they like to, can include reasonable freedom as part of standard. Eelco: sure, owner of this company ("university") can try to play goverment and set whatever restrictions he want, he can even try teaching nazi ideals and arian superiority in his "university", teach that holocaust didn't happen, and can really put Arbeit macht frei on door of his building.(i know it was photoshopped, just using as example) But real goverment has lotta more power, and can restrict what various extremists can do.
