  1. I'm guessing you're referring to IE's horrible PNG transparency support. There are some hacks around this. Here's a good site: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bobosola/ But if you don't want to mess with the javascript, you could just convert your PNGs to GIFs, and the transparency should display fine in both IE and Firefox.

    What kind of music do you listen to while coding?

    I get distracted by the vocal tracks in most music, so when I do something mentally engaging like programming, I listen to instrumental music. Groove Salad is probably what I listen to most. Bam. http://www.somafm.com/

    [java] Input Wanted

    I hate ice caps. But, I will try to lock it up at 60 fps when I get a chance. Thanks for the tip. BTW, Titan Attack Rules!
  8. Looking for some feedback on my recently developed puzzle game. What would you modify or add to my game? http://stantonia.com/?page=games

    Please Play My Tetris Attack Clone

    Just updated my game, and decided I would post about it here after the tremendous feedback I initially received. My mentally handicapped roomate says the new version is incredible. So, go play it, or just lie to me about how much you loved those 2-note midi sound effects. Java Web Start Version (which you won't play on) on this page: http://stantonia.com/?page=games
  10. If you like simple puzzle games, check out the game I recently developed in Java. The name is Block Rockin, it's a bad version of one of the greatest games of all time, Tetris Attack. Please play it and give me some feedback, on what's good, what sucks, and what you think would be cool to add, and a big thanks to everyone that has contributed information to this forum, it's been a big help. log2()

    Thanks for the help my good fellows.

    log2()

    The log2() function does not exist in visual studio's <math.h> or <cmath> libraries. How would I implement this using log10 or the natural log function?
