    An Argument Against Tutorials

Right on Washu! I "learned" C++ from a tutorial. Then I picked up a book on the subject, and found out how little I knew (I was still using char*'s for crying out loud!). I "learned" DirectX from a tutorial. Then I picked up the DX documentation, and again was shown that tutorials are not the end-all be-all of learning. I try to direct beginner's away from tutorials and towards books and documentation, but it appears this is something you must learn from experience.
