Now What For The UK ?

Currently, I don't think Turkey meets the requirements for EU membership. I don't think that is likely to change so long as Erdogan is in charge. Once they do, I wouldn't really have a problem with it. The way Turkey's membership has been talked up and exaggerated by the Leave campaign is just an example of how they appeal to the racist elements in society.

Those contributions are small compared to the value of being a member of the single market. And if we want to be part of the single market, we'll still have to make those contributions to the EU, except we won't get any rebates, or say in how it is spent.   The majority of the strain on public services is a result of chronic underfunding. Any strain placed on them by immigrants is more than compensated for by the contribution those immigrants make towards them, either from paying tax or by actually working in them.

Yes, if we ask the EU very nicely, and they don't feel too inclined to make an example of us to deter other nations from leaving, then in a few years we might get a deal that's worse than the one we've just thrown away.

Wait until Merkel gives away visa-free travel to 75 million Turks. Then you'll thank Nigel on your knees...     Is there a particular reason why? Or is this just racism and fearmongering? Bear in mind I actually live in an area which has quite a large number of turkish immigrants.

If we want to remain a member of the single market and/or do any trade whatsoever with the EU (which we do) we still have to comply with those regulations, except we just threw away any influence we had over how they are made.   I struggle to see any positive side to this result, it's more a question of how terrible it will turn out to be.

Problem with List of inherited objects

Why use an ArrayList? Dictionary<string, Archetype> would seem more appropriate here.   Also, this may not be a particularly great use of inheritance. Inheritance is appropriate when the derived classes share their interface with the base class. However this doesn't seem to be the case here, which is precisely why you're having this problem. I'd be inclined to flatten the hierarchy, kill all the subclasses and turn Archetype into a generic grab-bag of properties which can contain appropriate values for any objects in your game.

    My Life in 30 Seconds

Great to see you back, you've been missed. I can completely understand where you're coming from too. I took a bit of a break from doing any active game development related stuff, and experimented with doing some completely different things, but I just couldn't quite get motivated by anything else. Anyway, it's good to have you back. And congratulations!
