  1. Hi guys, thanks a million u2. i read the reply and remembered that i was using D3DFMT_A16B16G16R16F as the format for the texture for the render target and changed it to D3DFMT_R5G6B5 and it works thanks a lot regards unicorn11
  2. Hi All, I had a Nvidia 7600 graphic card on the pc i am developing on, and we had to take it out. The onboard one is intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset and the game was constantly crashing for some reason (and with the earlier card the ran without an issue). I commented the functions that has these functions GetSurfaceLevel , GetRenderTarget, SetRenderTarget and it application atleast started. so i could not use some of the textures that i had drawn stuff on. any idea why this may be happening? thanks for any help. regards unicorn11

    Hi All, I am using a sprite to draw 2 textures on the screen one above another. the bottom texture gets drawn first and then the above one. Is there a property / method I can set or call by which i can specify which texture is supposed to get drawn above which like a zorder? so that which ever is drawn first the order of the textures always remain the same. regards Abhishek

Hi All, I am drawing text in the rect on the directx screen. can anyone tell me how to scroll multiline text that is present in a rect but on completely visible due to the zsize of the rect without increasing the rect? also a link to a tutorial of render text using a sprite would also be really helpful. regards Abhishek
  10. Hi, have a function that returns me a array of const unsigned char's which i need to use to convert into a texture. OpenGL has a function called as glTexSubImage2D that can use the char's. Is there a directx function that does something like this? and any example of such the directx function will also be realllly helpful. regards Abhishek
