About GameDev Projects

GameDev Projects is where you share your creations with the world. It was created to provide developers with a place to share their projects, interact with the developer community, and get inspired by others.

Developers can upload files, their blogs, and link to their projects in stores like Steam, GameDev Market, and more.

Your projects can be viewed through your Developer profile. This is a special section of your GameDev.net member profile used to organize your GameDev Projects. Right now a GameDev.net member can only have one Developer profile.

How do I get started?

Get started by going to your Developer Dashboard to create your GameDev.net Developer profile. From there you can add new projects, enter project information, link your GameDev.net Blog and Gallery Album, and upload or link to files for download. When you're ready, from your Project's editor view, click Publish, and your project will be live for others to view.

What types of projects can I share?

Short answer: anything related to game development. We've created a few categories to start:

  • Games
  • Game Mods
  • Game Assets
  • Development Tools
Do you have something that doesn't fit in these categories? Let us know.

Can I sell my project through my Developer profile?

Not yet. We're looking at this. Until we have a better answer we encourage you to check out GameDev.Market.

How do I find cool projects?

  • Projects are organized by Type and Genre. You can browse through them on the Projects page.
