Ikusa-Online is a massively multiplayer strategy game playable through any modern browser. Here's the run down: IKUSA-ONLINE is a massively multiplayer online game, set in a persistent, ever-evolving space universe. Possessing only a single planet, set out to create a massive kingdom to claim the Holy Terra Empire as your own. Force, pressure, or persuade other players into joining your noble house as you wage war with other players and houses on a universal scale. Gain power through invasion, controlling resources, or merely through possessing political influence. In Ikusa, every decision matters, and can have consequences that ripple throughout the universe. FEATURES: -Expansive Research and Industrial trees -High-level technology can be unlocked through joint-research with other players -Ability to build-up and customize every individual planet you control -NPC factions fighting and joining with player-run factions -Ability to setup player-run clans or "houses" -Complex political system for changing everything from taxes, position of the Empire's fleets, to selecting an Emperor -NPC and player-run corporations producing special commodities and units -Ability to appoint governors to planets for production bonuses -Abiiity to appoint commanders to fleets for attack and defense bonuses -Ability to create "customized" flagships to lead your fleets -Ability to create moving, mechanical planets -In-game player communication for coordinating attacks and defense -Real-time game environment Check it out, the project is almost ready for the first phase of testing, and in preparation we're trying to get a player-base going before we start. My original post describing the game idea and design can be found at http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=151419 while the game itself can be found at http://www.ikusa-online.com . Feel free to drop a line in the forums about the game concept and any suggestions or comments you might have. [edited by - yellow5 on November 19, 2003 10:24:48 PM]

Sent in my application, this looks interesting.

Is this game going to go commercial? Also, at least the basics of the game should be posted in the manual before testing starts.

Sorry I should clarify.

There is very little information on the website, perhaps a little more would encourage people to submit (assuming you arent being swamped by applications that is)

If you had screenshots, we''d be more inclined to believe you were ready for testing.

I''d have to agree with the APs, you gave more info in your forum post than there is on the website.

I''ve just put up a portion of the manual that was ready enough to be posted. It''s not much, but should hopefully give a little more information. More content will be added as it is completed or polished over the next couple of days. In response to the requests for more information, I''m going back and revising the original design document for posting (it''s a bit outdated and needs to be updated).

No screenshots are available yet because I''m in the process of reskinning the UI, but that should hopefully be completed soon. There won''t be much in the way of graphics (as it is a browser based UI), but it will shed some light on how the game is played. Hope this all will be enough to keep your interest until it is ready to be tested, but if not just request some things and I''ll see what I can do :D
