I''m not trying to "convert" anyone or to make a big fuss about "animal killers". I''m just wondering why people eat meat. I''ve eaten meat all of my life, and I can''t say I''ve ever really enjoyed it. I hear all about how good steak is and so on, but to me it''s just a piece of coarse gum. Maybe I havn''t had "good" steak. Anyway, in general I find myself likeing the seasonings, spices, and dressings more than the actual meat itself. I realize that meat is the number one source for Vitamin B12, which our cells require to create DNA. That''s the only scientific evidence I''ve found that supports including meat in the diet, and even then, not very much of the vitamin is required, or that it can be only found in meat (thought I really don''t want to eat 24 cups of spinach a day just to get my b12)
I''ve also heard that in the bible humans were originally created to not eat meat, however I can''t confirm this as I haven''t read the bible.
I''m also more inclined to believe that a little meat isn''t that big of a deal, but it seems like everything has meat in it. And, the more I read about how animals are killed, the more I''m repulsed by the thought of meat. I''m just wondering why other people eat meat, or what they think about it.
I realize that I brought this up a long time ago, and as far as I can tell nothing was really resolved, so I thought I''d bring it up again, taking a slightly more neutral approach.
