The IQ of a programmer.
If you are an actual programmer (ie: know a language thoroughly) what have you accomplished and what is your IQ.
I am just kinda interested in knowing how smart your average programmer is.
Don''t lie, because then this becomes sorta pointless.
I don''t know a language thoroughly (Well, i CAN program stuff but I have only scratched the surface), so i wont tell you my IQ, unless you must know it.

std::cout << "Pwned.";
My iq is 139-140, somewhere around there. I''m fourteen and I''m pretty advanced in c++, but I do other stuff than just sit around and program all day.
166
And to tell you the truth, I don''t buy the IQ bullshit. Intelligence is nothing ... application is everything.

So you are borderline genius then max.
And reindeer holy-sh!t!!
This confirms my belief that programmers are all around pretty smart people.
I believe 145+ is genius or higher.

166??? How did you take an iq test? Was it like a real one given by a professional person or like a fake online one? Hehe jk thats crazy though.
Well, if you think about it programmers need to compute some serious sh!t in their heads sometimes.
And reindeer you should apply for MENSA with an IQ like that. Thats definitely top 2%

It''s my belief that good programmers are generally good problem solvers, and in most cases (exceptions do exist) have a math ability, and logic oriented mind. Often these traits are associated with high IQ but I would point out that the correlation may be invalid.
FYI: The "traditional" IQ test is often considered a poor measure of intellegence, the way that age is scored against performance was designed to make the IQ test only for children below a certain age (12 I believe) Also, much of what it measures is fairly hard to measure I''ve gotten a 180 on an IQ test, and not 3 months later, a 120.
