Thanks for your input. Here's the reason why we haven't separated:

1. There aren't enough posts that are only about DirectX.
2. We don't want to have a separate forum for each API. Some forums, like Genesis3D or Glide would get maybe one post a week.

Jeez, I can't believe you guys still have that API section all together.. and you've even added more API's to the 1 message board. Direct-X ALONE should have its own message board for each section.

I sure as hell wouldn't wanna post/help other people, on that giant mess.

just my opinion, I'm pretty sure I suggested some ideas before as well.

Yeah, exactly, look at the posts in there now. The vast majority of them are about DirectX anyway.

Deciding on how do divide topics is NOT something done haphazardly. If we have topics that are too broad, there are too many posts and some get ignored. If the topics are too narrow, it stifles conversation and visitors are overwhelmed at the large number of forums. I personally pay close attention to the message boards and if you have paid any attention at all, you would would know that I have closed the ones that were not active and split ones that are too active.
