I''ve thought about this as well. What would you suggest for it as far as format and content? Just the latest news? a GDNet newsletter? Would it be weekly, bidaily, daily? I''ve been considering this for some time, but I''d like to get some ideas for it before I did anything. Plus there needs to be enough interest. ;-)

I''d suggest weekly, containing big headlines arranged in parts (e.g. Biz news, games news, news interesting for artists..coders...etc.etc.). all new entries of that week to the "job offers" section (once its up) of the site would be cool too.

The list should be customizable for the subscriber. He can e.g. sign up for Biz news, artist news (all news interesting for 2d/3d artists, sound news, coder news, game news, job offers, new articles concerning artists, coders, soundpeople etc. (with tickboxes where people can tick everything they want, where they also can change the content of their weekly GDnetDigest. Here a list of possible entries in groups:
-Artist Info:
o Biz News
o Tools News
o GameDev News (articles etc)
o Job Openings
-Coder Info:
o Biz News
o Tools News
o GameDev News (articles etc)
o Job Openings
....
"o" = tickbox

GameDev Net News should be included automatically (regarding changes and updates concerning the game dev site)

hm, strange... haven''t got a letter about answer on this post...

i just thought that would be good if mails will have same news which are placed on your main page (possibly in html+text format). Also it you can send new letters as often, as new news will arrive.
