You can easily uninstall the My Search Bar using the instructions below:
• Close all open Web browsers
• From the "Start" menu in Windows, select "Control Panel", and then select "Add/Remove Programs"
• Select "My Search Bar"
• Click "Change/Remove"

The My Search bar will be uninstalled. However, if you reopen your Web browser, and still see the My Search Bar, you may need to restart your computer for the uninstall process to be completed.

Have you just tried doing that?
It might escape the spyware description by providing it's own uninstall program.

*cough cough*

Victory! I killed it!

Here's how I did it:
- first, I created a new User Account with Administrator access. This was the key.
- I then ran Ad-Aware, then the Microsoft Antispyware tool. I think it was Ad-Aware that did the trick. I ran them a few times each, then opened up IE. No toolbar! I switched user accounts to see if it worked in the other major account. No toolbar! I then rebooted and went into the other account, and still, no toolbar! Victory!
