anyone know if theres any american banks or whatever that give out loans if I have a guarantee for just some of the amount??

Key Bank offers "Alternative Education Loans" that might be what you are looking for. You can probably get in touch with Full Sail's financial aid department and ask them for information about how you might go about getting aid in your situation. You could also do this for any other school you want to apply for (ask them about financial aid, that is).

Out of curiosity how far do they go in calculus? Do you take the equivalent of 3 semesters of university level calculus? If you know off hand, what book did you use and did you cover it all?

The book we used when I was in the class (about 20 months ago) was Thomas' Calculus Alternate Edition Addison Wesley. The class gets up to single variable integrals. If I remember correctly it covered derivatives, integrals, limits, and also had some review of other subjects such as basic trig (transcendental functions), geometry, etc. I'd say it's roughly equivalent to 1 semester of uni calc, although that of course varies by university.

This was a while ago though and the curriculum here shifts fairly often so they may be doing it differently these days. Overall though it was a good class, as were most classes I had at Full Sail.
Thanks for the info. I had considered going to Full Sail a few years back, but decided to go for a CS degree (graphics focus) with a minor in math. I have always been told it is a good school if you are motivated, and do not require a job while attending.

I have three friends that went there and one of them dual majored in Multimedia Productions? and Audio Engineering. He is doing quite well now.. besides the rather large student loans he has to pay back.

So.. Anyone wana cosign me on a loan?? :D
Just throwing this out there... I heard that Guild Hall @ SMU is quality. I am at a normal university myself, but am considering specializing afterwards (possibly).

My vote is for a non-trade school for undergraduate experience. If you KNOW that you don't need this, you're probably not reading this.
