Im trying to make a platform game, but I was wandering how to make a sprite animation system that is efficient and easy to program with.

If anyone has some source code for a platform game, could you send it to me so I can get an idea, if you dont mind?

Also, is there any game source from old games like the ones that appeared on the SNES and amiga, available on the web?

Try going here: http://www.cdx.sk/

This is a great wrapper for DirectX and contains classes for drawing sprites and tile maps and includes all the source (its an open source project).

hey this is great!

i thought that the CDX project had died, since http://www.maidex.demon.co.uk hasn't been updated in over a year. They should put a link on the old page linking to www.cdx.sk.
