So, Moderator Rhodes, you think you can get some extended notation in this forum for being able to properly annotate various formulae?

Well, stuff like sigma, pi, rho, theta as symbols. The sig I posted above at least proves that <sup> works, so should <sub>. Maybe markup tags that translate into gifs, like smilies, but cooler. An ''eq'' tag for equations? Would be an interesting challenge to try and get LaTeX-like support in HTML.

PS The V key is useless, it does an overlined small omega and the open sigma (looks a bit like an s that's been pushed down ad bit and had its lower half shrunk) that goes at the end of a word rather than the ziggy zaggy capital sigma or the enclosing small sigma with the tail.
