Controling Blending!
Is there a way i could control the amount i blend onto an object without changing image data directly, i didn''t feel like looking it up so i just decided to ask. Im trying to have a blinking effect for a blended layer on top of another layer (multipass multitexturing) which also brings up the question is there a way i can do this with multitexturing to? Once again, i know i could look this up but im tired as a big brown poo right now (stayed up till 5 a.m. programming) so im just asking u guys: respond quick plz!
got up at 5am to look at saturn through the telescope.
see my site i recently posted a demo which shows how blending works.
u might wanna use
glDisable( GL_LIGHTING )
glEnable( GL_BLEND );
glBlendFunc( GL_SRC_ALPHA, GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA )
glColor4f(1,1,1, 0.0 .. 1.0 ) // alpha controls how much to blend
draw object

Is there a difference between material alpha-blending and
texture alpha-blending? Can someone give a quick example of both?
How would I blend a material color on a texture?

In other words, how can I fully show the texture, and how can
I fully show the material (a solid color), and then have something
that will blend both of them together?
