Do anybody know why a selfwritten screensaver in OpenGL is much slower than the same Win32-Program compiled as executable. When I run the executable with the exact same drawing I get about 60 FPS. But when running the screensaver I only get 5 FPS!
In the Application i load one Bitmap as texture and draw the objects with this texture. Does anybody know the reason for that phenomena? Or does anybody know how I can increase the Framerate for the screensaver?
