Recommend Wii/PS3 Games to play with my wife?

Any recommendations for something fun and not too mission/story-based, which we can pick up and play together in a more social way? Proper sport and driving games are out, so no PES/FIFA or GT5. Both fans of MarioKart and in the past things like Tekken. We have the WiiSports thing which we liked, but are bored of... anything in that direction perhaps, good collections of smaller games?Individually, my wife does play games but prefers slightly more puzzle-based like Tomb-Raider, Prince of Persia, Lego <insert franchise>. Whereas I like sport/driving/deathmatch games/ I reckon she might be convinced by a shooter which has great split-screen mode, even to play it single-player, if it's more about strategy than reaction-times. Do any of the COD games fit this, or Heavy Rain, or something like that?Thankyou :)

Because it's supposed to be for both of us, not just her, to enjoy. I say Co-op is boring, she will play both.

GB is a good call, been thinking about that.

So, are there any good collections of fun Wii games (like Wii sports, that kind of idea but better)?

And are any of the modern PS3 shooters (COD, etc) blessed with decent split-screen... like GoldenEye in the olden days?

Both Donkey Kong County and Kirbys Epic Yarn are really fun for coop. Regarding split screen shooters you could check out COD:Black Ops which has split screen / online multi... My brother and I play split online multiplayer when I'm over at his place and it's a riot

Black Ops has split screen play in Zombies mode, online mulitplayer, and offline mulitplayer (just like GoldenEye's follow-up, you can take on a number of bots).

If your looking for a somewhat casual experience something which non-gamers can get into I hear Heavy Rain is very watchable like a TV show.. Perhaps you can take turns playing a persona? Ie You can play Ethan while she can play the reporter lady.. you'll have to flip to see who plays the detective and cop..
