Just curious to see what people use and why, if you select an option please State why you use that IDE vs the rest.
Ill start it off, I use Netbeans because I prefer the way the UI is for projects.
[java] Which IDE do you use?
haha I made it 50/50 :-)
I use atm Netbeans, because I just like the overall functionality it gives u.
Also I think Netbeans usability is a bit better then the one from eclipse(auto completion, refactoring and so on).
On the other side I'm looking a little bit more into eclipse atm, because they have some very nice new features/plugins in the pipeline especially for java EE stuff

Has to be Eclipse for me. I use both Netbeans (for PHP) and Eclipse (for AS3 and Java) and while netbeans is a strong competitor, Eclipse pips it to the post in terms of functionality and customisability
Not 50/50 anymore. I think it's well known (at least in my circles) that Eclipse is the closest thing to a defacto standard for Java devs. Were it not for Eclipse, I'd be using Netbeans, though. Anything other than those two makes me think "Java coding by Notepad".... nah, I went through that in college a decade ago, thanks.
I voted NetBeans, but lately I've been using Eclipse a bit more, not because I prefer it, but because we agreed (in my group at school) to use it. But I must say that even though I generally prefer NetBeans, especially because of its auto completion, Eclipse is a few steps ahead in the plugin department, whether you're talking version control or Android development. I do use NetBeans for Android, but I still use Eclipse for setting up the SDK, because it's much more straight forward.
So I would say NetBeans is my favorite, but Eclipse has a bigger and better plugin base

with these polls results I think iama have to give eclipse another chance lol, I tried it a couple of times but always fall back to Netbeans

I use Microsoft Visual C++ EE because I feel its the best free C++ IDE for windows development.
I use CodeLite + TDM64 for Linux/Window cross platform development. Again, I feel its the best free C++ IDE for the task.
