It sounds more like you want to morph a bunch of vertex locations... Which isn''t nearly as hard as morphing textures, though, all textures are attached to vertices, so to ''morph'' them, you just have to move the vertices. :D
If his guy and his pile of shit contain the same amount of vertices then either his guy is a block man or his pile of shit is a smooth, ultra-realistic representation of feces that doesn''t deserve that amount of detail.
Try figuring out how to morph between objects with a different amount of vertices.
