Saving your bookmarks?

I'm looking for a better way of storing internet bookmarks. I use Google Chrome as my browser, and previously I was using the Delicious extensions for Google Chrome but the two or three I tried are poorly made and buggy.

I'd like a good desktop application that can store my bookmarks on my computer directly; I'd like to organize them in 'folders', but allowing tagging and searching by tags. Do you know of any like this?
How do you currently store your bookmarks? How do you keep them all organized?

Did you try Google Bookmarks? It probably integrates better with Chrome. I have no idea about its offline abilities though.
I use Firefox and organise all the bookmarks in folders, it can also add tags to individual bookmarks and searching just involves typing the tags (or url) into the address bar and the bookmarks get listed; all bookmarks are stored in a local file, so it should be fairly easy to copy and paste around as required...
Chrome itself can be set up to sync bookmarks (along with any other settings you want) using your Google account. It's in the options and is completely awesome. I use it to have the same bookmarks, saved passwords, etc on my two home machines and work machine.
Thanks, I'll give Google Bookmarks a run for a few months and see how I like it.
