This.

Dan, I remember when you announced you'd gotten a publisher for your game, and I've really been looking forward to seeing what the final product would look like. Needless to say, I'm mega impressed! Well done, and congrats!

Lol! Thanks, yea I'm happy with the direction the game has taken...I'm also having full support for traditional 1860s units in the game. So if somebody wants to use the map editor to make a 9kmx9km replica of Gettysburg they can knock themselves out. I have cannons, 1860s muskets, 1860s pistols, gatling guns, horses, ironclad ships, everything the actual US Civil War had. Plus zeppelins, tanks, 30+ modern weapons, and dudes with steampunk miniguns. Yea... ain't history fun ?

I find the hardest part to believe is that you did that engine yourself, you are agreat inspiration to game developers. smile.png

Thanks, well it has taken me many years to get the engine to this level, but I'm happy with it. Honestly I wish I had more time to 'tighten up teh graphics' ;-) but I'm pretty satisfied with how it looks. I'm targeting as many low-spec machines as possible ... I believe the texture detail can scale down to like < 30MB for the whole game, that's like 32x32 resolution color/normal/specular maps LOL. Mostly used for LOD versions of models, and for running in debug mode.

Thank you sir :-) Yes I don't think many people could have foreseen this direction for the game! lol, at least it's unique :-p

Well done. It looks amazing. I will be sure to buy that, when i get the cash.

Thanks, and thanks to everyone who took the time to respond.

I really appreciate everything this community has done for me, and your support is a key element that has kept me going all this time.
