I would actually suggest you watch this:

I'm currently studying at university to go into game design, and I've asked around. A game designer in the industry (working at Riot games) pointed this out to me, and it also holds up with a lot of other research I've done.

There is only one answer appropriate to this question and if you don't know the answer to it then allow me to offer some advice from here

However if you are still stuck for an answer then the truth be told I cannot help you.

If I tell you yes, then at best I serve as validation to help bolster against self-doubt.
If I tell you no, then at worst I have bolstered your self-doubt.
If I simply tell you to make up your own mind, then maybe just maybe you will make the decision and thus embark on your life.

The end boss in a game is the road you walk in life.

And last of all but definitely not least: one determination made by Socrates is this - those who had the confidence to make decisions (whether good or bad decisions) tended to have more successful lives then those who didn't.

Either way I like your Avatar :)
I'm late posting on this but, if you want easy or little scripting and you want 2D games, use Game Maker. Great were made with it. It has a language for the engine (game maker language) And you don't need to use it. For 3D you can use Unity. It uses easier languages. But you can use blender. Programming is more complex but also has 'logic bricks' like game maker. And it's good for 3D modeling and can be used with Unity. And it has a cool animation and video editor.
