So, I'm trying to aim for coding a 3D game/engine the likes of Quake/WoW... And I'm wondering if I'm going about the right path: Of course, you have OpenAL&OpenGL/GLFW on top of a main event/state/render loop... I think next I need to focus on camera/movement, model loading & animation, terrain/map/world, extra eye-candy like lighting/shading, and finally home free with higher level game logic? ... Does that seem sensible, or am I missing anything majorly important?
