I have been looking into making games using javascript and HTML 5, and a few days ago i finally managed to get my first game in shape.

As long as you don't use Internet Explorer you should be able to test it at:
http://hindergame.herokuapp.com

(20 levels)

I guess I'm now in the process of figuring out what my next game should be, so any form of feedback on this one would be much appreciated.
Is there any sense of a story in the game? I struggled with making it work within the limitations of the "engine", and had to scrap many ideas. Game design is hard!

The code is not as structured (or good) as I first envisioned it to be, but if anyone is interested it can be found at:
https://github.com/mageng/Hinder

It's compiled from coffeescript, and lives within a rails-project. It's free to use in any way (but it's a mess to start with).

Thank you!

I didn't use any articles on game development when I built this game, but what actually got me going in web game deleopment was an article on ray casting using javascript.
I can't find that link anymore. :-/

i was hoping for resources you have used to learn the new features in html 5, not for the game development itself. i think the best will be to download your source code and go through it.
