Pixel Shading...ANYONE? PLEASE??
hi.
ok..so here''s the thing, I own a Radeon, which is not a fully programamble gpu, but it does support sevoral pixel shading funcs like per pixel lighting, dot product 3''ing and such...
Now...i''m using OpenGL (not the hell that is DX) and where ever I looked I found NOTHING about those topics...I don''t like per-vertex lighting, it looks horible, unless ofcourse my model is made from like 100000 polygons (talking about per pixel lighting..every polygon is about as big as a pixel) but unless wer''e talking PS2, GameCube or XBox, this isn''t really an option..is it...
so can someone PLEASE help me out finding tutorials of how to do the above ? per pixel lighting, bump mapping, vertex shading..
Iv''e read all the info on nVidia''s site, i already know where the pixel and vertex shaders fit in the pipeline, and how they function, my only problem is that i dunno how to implement them in opengl...PLEASE HELP!!! PLEASE!!

If you wan''t a solution for ATI boards, have a look at www.ati.com/na/pages/resource_centre/dev_rel/devrel.html. Especially the fragment shader extension may be of use.
