Not owning any iOS/Android devices, I'm surely missing out on a large chunk of indie games. However, Sprint is fixin' to force me to upgrade my phone within the next year, so I may finally be able to catch up on what I've missed. (Something about towers being replaced.) Plus, the mother of all Steam Sales will be coming up in a couple of months, so ... yeah.

For this thread, I'm interested in discovering indie titles from 2012 that have music so good that you would listen to it outside of playing the game; the kind of music that gets stuck in your head for days. I'm focusing on 2012 to ascertain whether the trend of $0.99 games is resulting in a significant decline in game music quality. If you could compare the music to other games' music, that'd be great.

Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions for 2012 as I haven't really played any indie titles from 2012 yet. I will say, though, that I found the soundtrack from Mighty Switch Force!, which came out in December 2011, to be refreshing. If you're interested, the game's composer has made the tracks freely available for your listening pleasure right here. There's a particular tune on there that I would describe as a hybrid of Gunstar Heroes and Magical Tetris Challenge.

I would listen to radio, but I have this thing about listening to music without playing a game. I feel I have to play the game in order to understand the motivation for the music. Strange logic, I know, but it works for me. I don't consider trailers cheating, though.
