Procedural Rhetoric in Game Design

Preparedness is winning in a sense. Since you know your enemy and you know yourself enough to prepare to win. However some of the fun of a game is feeling prepared and realizing their are more variables then you realized then quickly reacting to that situation (and winning anyways).

Smart games can "see the same board as you do" and be just as prepared as you are, which brings ever growing challenge to the game.

I think the best that (some) games right now do is just training a player to think in some way( either be it logically or strategically or ...)

When a player goes to his day-job, he/she has to realize that the problems he/she has to deal with are less fun and may require real sacrifices,

Now i don't see this as a problem, though on the other hand making a game to specifically train someone for a real task is something i would encourage, but i would suddenly also have higher expectations of such a game(teaching ain't easy)
