Everything here is written somewhat resumed and conceptually, it would too much time and space to describe everything i've in mind right now, but i can give more details later if someone asks for. Also to clarify, Portuguese is my native languague, sorry for any mispelling i hope this doesn't turn out unreadable dry.png .

The Duke went missing (Temp name)

Murdock, an young and ambicious man puts his hands into a necromancy book, an ancient and primitive source of magical power, out of curiosity and unware of the outcomes, activates a soul binding spell with his own house, while the house remains intact so will his soul in other words, immortality.

Years later, after spending his life abusing the book's power with gambling, well endowed and healthy, ends up not only falling in love but marrying a girl he found during one of his lonesome highroad travels. One day, coming back from a party, their car hits a tree and Murdock dies, atleast for a few minutes, enough time for Rosalind to so and freak out with him coming back to life. Murdock always thought his married life would end the moment she realised who he really was, but for his surprise that didn't happen, Rosalind stayed by his side even after discoverying her husband's darkest secret.

Twelve years later, she gives birth to their only child, a girl, and dies from an unknown infection. Even with all his powers, Murdock was unable to save her and his mind only didn't break because of his daughter, he couldn't lose himself and let her alone.

Unable to live in that place filled with memories, he decides to move to the city along with his daughter, and let go of his feelings towards his ex-wife.

Back to the present, his daughter (20 years old) is worried about her father, who went missing after going back to the old house. The veteran detective Joel, receives her missing person report and the game begins.

So...where's the horror bit?

The ritual made by Murdock back in his young age, not only gave him immortality but also had unexpected effects, a small fragment of his soul got fused with the house and after years being feed with a variety of emotions, like love and anger, became a complete and gained a consciousness on it's own. It wasn't only Murdock who fell in love with Rosalind, the house did too and unlike him still trying to retrieve her by any means possible, even by bringin the whole limbo, resting place of all souls and source of all magic - something like Heaven and Hell fused, to our world to drag back her soul by force. Now the door to Limbo is open to whatever being who decides to pass throught it.

Well, i would like to hear your feedback and see if it interests someone else other than me, thanks for your time!

I can see the premise working, as far as it has been described here. That said, remember the aphorism that "execution is everything": how you handle the premise, both in terms of the story itself and the game mechanics, will to a large extent determine how well this turns out, I believe.

Is there anything in particular that you want help with?

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Sounds ok,

the question really becomes, how will you convey this with mechanics?

Sounds like your looking into 1st or 3rd person.

Consider what your goal in conveying the story is, how will he and the house be connected?

most of your story might be exploring his relationship with the daughter, and then some strange connection to teh house causes something to occur?

Maybe in the end, or in the climax, the house burns down, and you explore that dynamic.n

Also, he's widowed, exploring how this event anfd emotions effect the house.

The more specific you can be the better.
